Thank you but no thank you
The City of Warsaw will hand over some development plots to developers in exchange for turnkey-finished apartments. Developers’ comments on this announcement:
The plots being offered to developers by the city of Warsaw as part of a swap of municipal land for apartments for use as council flats are quite small. There is not much you can build on plots with areas ranging from 500 to 600 sqm. We are not interested in this kind of cooperation. It might be an offer more suitable for developers that are smaller than Ronson. We need plots that allow between 200-300 apartments to be built.. A maximum of only 40-50 apartments can be built on a 1,800 sqm plot. If the city were to offer larger plots in the programme, we would certainly be interested. In such a situation we could barter apartments from each of our projects. Everything depends on the attractiveness of the plot that the city has to offer. There is currently no major problem with the sales of apartments on the market but we continue to look for areas for new projects and we would treat such a cooperation as a way of solving the problem of finding plots rather than a recipe for getting rid of apartments. We would mostly be interested in plots on the left bank of the Vistula River in districts such as Wola, Bemowo, Mokotów and Ursynów.
