Michael Johnston

Michael Johnston has been appointed director and head of CBRE’s Advisory business in Russia. He will have direct responsibility for the strategic consulting business. Additionally, he will play an instrumental role in enhancing and extending the advisory services to CBRE clients, working together with research and valuation teams, as well as CBRE transactional business lines. He will also help the company to develop local services for the hotel sector. Prior to joining CBRE, Michael was CEO of Regional Hotel Chain (RHC), the largest investment and development company specialising in midmarket, internationally branded hotels in Russia, where he was responsible for strategic development and general management of the company. Before RHC, Michael spent several years as both the head of private equity and a director of the Global Strategy Group for KPMG and Deloitte in Russia.
