Josef Filser

Josef Filser has become managing director of Genesis Hospitality Partners, a new investment and asset management company in the hotel property sector. Josef Filser is also the founder of the company, which launched in 2024/2025 and focuses on markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Josef Filser is an expert with more than 13 years of experience in the hotel and real estate industry. Prior to founding Genesis Hospitality Partners, he held senior positions at global real estate consultancies including JLL in London and Munich. Most recently, he worked at Cushman & Wakefield, as head of Hotel Division for Germany and Austria, where he managed all transactional and advisory processes in the hotel sector. During his career, he managed the acquisition and sale of portfolios and individual properties with a total value of more than EUR 1 bln. He holds an MBA from the University of Regensburg (IREBS) and a bachelor's degree from the EHL Hospitality Business School.
