Richard Barkham

Richard Barkham will join CBRE Group on June 16th as global chief economist. He will be based in London and will report to Nick Axford, CBRE’s global head of research. A specialist in global macroeconomics and real estate strategy, Richard comes to CBRE from Grosvenor, a leading international investor in global real estate based in London. He has served as Grosvenor’s group research director since 2006, where he has focused on real estate risk analysis, long-range forecasts, capital allocation and supervising the work of twelve professional economists. He has also served as non-executive director of Grosvenor Fund Management (GFM) since 2011, working on investment strategy, new fund development, marketing and client relations. GFM is an international business with app. app. USD 5 bln of third party capital under management. He joined Grosvenor in 2000 as research director for Britain and Ireland.
