Grzegorz Zieliński has been appointed the new director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Poland. On September 1st, 2014, he will replace outgoing Lucyna Stańczak-Wuczyńska, who has been promoted to the director of financial institutions, EU banks division at the EBRD’s London headquarters. Grzegorz Zieliński joined the EBRD in Poland from Ernst&Young (now EY) in 1998 to became first a banker and then a senior banker of the bank’s power, energy and utilities team. In his new position he will be overseeing the EBRD's activities throughout the country as well as administering the EBRD's Warsaw office. Grzegorz graduated from the University of Gdansk with a degree in economics.
