Saija Kekkonen

Since the beginning of May the person in charge of the Polish branch of Best Western has been Saija Kekkonen, who has been appointed as the general manager of Best Western responsible for Finland, the Baltic States, Poland and Russia. Her main tasks will include supervision of hotels, the coordination of the chain’s activities, negotiations with investors and acquisitions of new facilities for the chain’s portfolio.

Saija, who has almost 20 years of experience in the hotel business, has been employed by Best Western since 2007, when she took up the position of the managing director of Best Western Osuuskunta responsible for Finland, the Baltic States and Poland. In 2015 she became the managing director of Best Western Hotels & Resorts. Prior to this she was the sales director of Sokos Hotels in Finland. She started her career in the hotel sector in 1997 and now specialises in the management and optimisation of revenue, sales and marketing activities.

Apart from her work Saija is passionate about yoga. She speaks fluent Finnish and English.
