Poland Plac Trzech Krzyży to be modernised

Infrastructure
A tender has been announced to reconstruct pl. Trzech Krzyży in Warsaw.

Already by the end of the year, a bicycle path is to be created across the square and more convenient pedestrian crossings with new traffic lights are to be added. Additionally, the roads are to be resurfaced. The planned renovations also include the nearby Rondo de Gaulle and part of ul. Nowy Świat. Currently, the cycle path that runs from Wilanów stops short just before the square at the exit of Al.Ujazdowskie, Ul. Sławka, Odyńca, Chodecka, Saska, Egipska and Czecha are all to be modernised. On the southern side, new traffic lighting is to be installed and a pedestrian island is to be created to improve the safety of the crossing. All the work had to be approved by the Mazowiecki Monument Conservation office, which insisted that the current view be preserved and that the square maintain its current layout. The tender is to be awarded on June 2nd and the chosen contractor will have 180 days to complete the work.
