GLP has successfully acquired two logistics warehouses spanning a combined area of 37,600 sqm in Janki near Warsaw. Two buildings are currently leased to brands in the logistics and food import industries.

MDDP Outsourcing has become the first tenant of the Vibe office building in Warsaw, which is currently being developed by Ghelamco. The area leased by the accounting, HR, payroll and tax services specialist comes to app. 2,000 sqm, covering two whole floors.

Atlas Ward Polska has become a new tenant of Varso Tower. The Warsaw branch of the general contractor will occupy the 29th floor of the office building developed and managed by HB Reavis. The company's employees will move into the new office in June 2024.

Cushman & Wakefield has summarized the situation on the Polish retail market in 2023, which saw heightened development activity, with about 450,000 sqm of new retail space delivered. The Polish retail sector continued to recover, as confirmed by the number of debuts. Meanwhile, the slower price growth bolstered consumer sentiment, leading to higher retail turnover levels.

The Polish government has just announced the introduction of an additional levy on the media, which it calls an advertising tax, cynically justifying the move as necessary for fighting the pandemic. This new burden will particularly hurt small, private, independent media companies that have already been badly affected by the Covid-19 outbreak.
