It’s well worth fighting for a space for yourself – in more ways than one for those attending Eurobuild Poland’s retail market conference
More than 150 experts from the industry met in Warsaw’s Hyatt hotel to discuss retail real estate. The market is fast developing, competition is growing, but investors have not been taken aback by events. They remain confident that there is a place for everyone.
Stephen Pragnell of Apsys Polska, who opened the meeting described the years of plenty the industry has enjoyed, while Agnieszka Sora of GfK Polonia summarized what we spend on shopping, what we put in our baskets and also gave her predictions for the future during the next lecture.
It is no secret that the most important factors in real estate investments are the location, followed by the location and finally – the location. A representative of Jones Lang LaSalle spoke of the best sites for shopping malls at present, that is, in medium-sized towns and cities.
Alan Aleksandrowicz of Gdańsk, Adam Rorata of PKP State Railways, Michał Masztakowski of CD Richard Ellis, Marek Noetzel of Cushman & Wakefield, Mirosław Szydelski of AIG/Lincoln and Tomasz Cudowski of Eurobuild Poland shared their knowledge of the interior designs of shopping centres. The final address was delivered by Michał Ćwikliński of King Sturge, who summarized the main transactions on the investment market.
Later, at the business mixer in the Boathouse restaurant, hot Latin American rhythms were provided by vocalist Magda Navarrete and the Noche de Boleros ensemble late into the night
