Land has been sold
Hochtief Project Development has finally become the owner of the land next to
the ONZ roundabout in Warsaw city centre, where it plans to develop a 100,000
sqm office building. The company has acquired an extra 5,800 sqm plot from PZU,
the Polish insurance company. The transaction now has to be approved by the
Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration.
Office building for Beiersdorf-Lechia
The cosmetics company Beiersdorf-Lechia is to build its own three-storey
building of over 3,500 sqm and the investment will be launched in spring 2003.
It was designed by Spanish architects Aguilera Ingenieros and construction will
cost PLN 24 million.
According to "Puls Biznesu", the office building will be constructed near
the company's modern factory in Poznan, which was itself completed at the end of
2001.
Topping out in Poznan
The investors and constructors of new office building Globis Poznań, have
celebrated the building's topping-out ceremony. Final completion of the office
building (13,000 sqm) is scheduled for the beginning of 2003.
The project's investor, company Globis Poznan, was established by Globe Trade
Centre (75 %) and Orbis (25 %.). Hochtief Polska was the general constructor and
architects Pentagram designed the building. SAP Project was involved in the
preparatory stages of the project and the leasing agents are CB Richard Ellis
and Blaszczyk Nieruchomosci.
Stratos welcomes Belgians
The Belgian Embassy's Wallon Region Trade and Economic Representation (AWEX),
has leased 292 sqm. of office space at the Stratos office building in ul.
Skorupki in Warsaw.
Stratos, completed in 2000 by general contractor Universale International, has a
total area of over 9,900 sqm. It was designed by architects Majewski, Wyszynski
and Hermanowicz and is owned by Karimpol.
New plans for Bialystok
City authorities in Bialystok are planning a profitability study for a new
mixed-use project, (with office, retail and hotel facilities), near the central
railway station.
The investment would be carried out on a plot of around 14,5 h, of which
about 10 h are owned by PKP, (Polish railways). ,In order for the centre to be
constructed, railway tracks will have to be replaced, new platforms constructed
and the station renovated", said city Vice-President, Boguslaw Debski.
"We want this work to be financed from EU pre-access funds. The city authorities
will be looking for partners for this project during the Expo Real fair in
Munich, and MIPIM in Cannes, among others".
Hochtief awarded
Hochtief Polska Facility Management has received the prize for "the Best
Integrator of the Year" Building Operation Management category, at the
"Inteligentny budynek" ["Intelligent Building"] conference.
Awarded by Grupa Inteligentnego Budownictwa [Intelligent Construction
Group] - the prize was for managing the BRE Bank headquarters complex in
Warsaw.
First tenants in WBC
Winogrady Business Centre office building on ul. Serbska in Poznan (West
Poland), has welcomed its first tenants: Wrigley (930 sqm), Polish general
constructor Warbud (700 sqm), E&L Real Estates branch office (125 sqm) and
Raiffeisen Bank (185 sqm.). DTZ Zadelhoff Tie Leung is the leasing agent of the
WBC, which was completed this July.
The 9-storey Centre, of which 6,800 sqm is leasable, was developed by E&L
Real Estates, invested in by special purpose company Keystone and designed by
E&L Architects. Warbud was appointed the general constructor of the project.
