According to Piotr Łada, the director of project management at Hillwood, when the developer was first considering the project, suitable land was already becoming scarce and the developer believed that large-scale developments would be harder to plan around Poland’s larger cities. “At that time, not only was land starting to be a problem but so were personnel,” he explains and adds, “so we searched for medium-sized cities with a large pool of labour.” After conducting a study of the best possible sites, Hillwood chose Konin. which is situated about half-way between Poznań and Łódź. The park will be well connected, with direct access to the A2 motorway, which becomes the A12 motorway when it reaches the German border and forms part of the pan-European E30 route. At the time the plot was purchased, the demand for large-scale industrial projects was sky-high and so, almost as soon as work started on preparing the site, Hillwood received an enquiry for t
