New York studio to design Warsaw museum

POLAND The Thomas Phifer and Partners architectural studio of New York has won the tender for the new design of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and the TR Warszawa theatre.
According to the tender committee, Phifer’s offer was the most “city-forming” and had the best understanding of the functionality of the museum and the theatre. The museum will now finalise an agreement for the design of the museum and theatre complex with Thomas Phifer. The cooperation will involve the joint development, together with the museum and the theatre, of the preliminary concept and the subsequent preparation of the construction plans, the detailed design and ultimately the supe
