Libeskind design revealed for Modern Art Center

LITHUANIA The design has been unveiled of the new Modern Art Center (MMC) in Vilnius. Polish-American architect Daniel Libeskind from Studio Libeskind (New York/Milan/Zurich) in partnership with Do architects (Vilnius) and Baltic Engineers (Vilnius) are responsible for preparing the architectural design.
The 3,100 sqm museum will be located on the site of the former Lietuva cinema near the city’s Old Town and will be surrounded by a new public piazza.
The gallery will be dedicated to the exhibition of work from the 1960s to the present by Lithuanian artists.
