Częstochowa station redesigned

POLAND The competition to find a concept design for the Częstochowa Główna station has been won by a project by Top Projekt Marek Wawrzyniak (Rybnik), NStudio (Paris) and Studio Antonini (Paris).
A total of 23 designs were entered in the competition held by PKP, the Association of Polish Architects in Częstochowa, Częstochowa city council and PKS Częstochowa. The design is for a transport hub with buses and trains and comprises two glazed buildings with the eastern building to be a ticket office with access to the underground sections of the station. The western building will include a small waiting room as well as ticket vending machines and toilets. Second and third prizes went to:

Poland AKIPIA joins Roma Tower as investor; construction contract signed

Czech investment group AKIPIA has joined the Roma Tower project in Warsaw, while the investors have signed a construction agreement with the general contractor. The 170-metre residential tower at the junction of ul. Emilii Plater and ul. Nowogrodzka will comprise 357 ultra-luxury apartments.

Poland AI and cloud demand drives growth in European data centre market

Demand for computing power is rising rapidly, driven by artificial intelligence and cloud services. This is accelerating growth in Europe’s data centre market. The sector’s total capacity could reach 13 GW by the end of 2026, up 20 pct year on year, according to CBRE’s 'Europe Data Centres Q2 2026' report. Rising demand is also changing where data centres are being built. Investors are increasingly looking beyond the largest hubs, creating new opportunities for Poland, where data centre capacity could grow from around 200 MW today to 500 MW by 2030.

Praga to tower up over Warsaw

High-rise developments may be developed near the National Stadium metro station. The city's spatial policy clearly aims to break down the division between the left and right banks of the Vistula. The opening of the popular pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Vistula, the ongoing reconstruction of Okrzei Street, and the development of transportation infrastructure – including the planned modernisation of the Eastern Railway Station and the Warsaw-Stadion station – are functionally integrating Praga into the New Center of Warsaw.
