The passive construction concept appeared in Poland around 2000, while the largest wave of interest in passive houses was in 2006–2008. After nearly fourteen years of promoting this German construction standard in Poland, the number of buildings constructed and certified by Passivhaus Institut Darmstadt in Poland is... three detached houses. Admittedly there were a dozen or so other facilities built in this period in the passive energy class, but many were not submitted for certification. Thus we can say with some certainty that the passive construction formula in Poland has not been successful and you could even go as far as to say that it has been a failure.
