To catch geese that lay golden eggs

Successful development companies have not the slightest intention of selling out, but it may well happen that competition from the biggest players on the market will force them to do just that in the near future

Acciona Inmobiliaria, Orco Property Group and Pirelli Real Estate are a few examples of the big beasts who have entered the Polish housing market recently, or who have consolidated their position through marriages with local operators. Their partners were, respectively, Mostostal Invest, Viterra Development and Pekao Development. Some analysts have suggested that several more takeovers of Polish developers are in the offing, but the value of the transactions will not be all that great,  if we take the EUR 20 million deal between Pirelli RE and Pekao Development as a guide. In addition, transactions are likely to be done rather with small firms.
