Investors attack harmful definitions in amended Act of Parliament

The presidium of the Investors' Conference which associates developer companies operating on the construction market has protested against several amendments approved by Parliament in March to the Building Law Act. The most heated emotions were aroused by the mention of "significant and insignificant deviations from an approved building project". Mieczysław Jaśkowski, manager of SAP-Projekt and member of the presidium of the Investors' Conference, remarked that the manner in which MPs defined what such "deviations" are evokes the most livid protest and could be the foundation for graft. In his opinion, the amended Act allows a great degree of freedom when assessing changes made in building projects, which means the fate of an investment will depend on the whim of some desk clerk.
