Construction reality show at Reduta-Warsaw

The Reduta shopping centre extension works can be watched on internet, according to property's manager Foras Management Poland. This 'construction reality show' will last till October this year when the construction works are completed. The new extension will be appr. 70,000 sqm bigger than the existing part (appr. 35,000 sqm). After the project is completed there will be 130 shops, among them double-storey H&M, Cropp (the new LPP's chain) and Top Secret. Jones Lang LaSalle is the leasing agent and Budimex is the general contractor.

Hilton appoints Budimex Dromex

Polish general contractor Budimex Dromex has been appointed the general contractor for Hilton Hotel in Warsaw. The construction commenced on the 4th of February with a completion date set for the 4th of October 2005.The value of the contract is worth EUR 20.5 mln.

Sweets from a new factory

Polish sweets producer Wawel SA plans to build a new factory in Dobczyce near Kraków (South). The company is about to announce the tender for the general contractor The estimated cost of the project is PLN 50 mln. The finance for the project will come from the company's own source, the sale of its real estate properties in Kraków and bank loans.

Okęcie 2 in Mszczonów or Modlin

Modlin and Mszczonów at opposite ends of Warsaw agglomeration have been recognized by the government commission as the best locations for Warsaw's new airport. Now a special procedure will be implemented to define the total cost of investment for each location. The investment is estimated at 1.3-2 bln EUR. The final decision on location will be taken in the Autumn. The construction should start in 2010 and will last for 5 years.
