Distribution centre for Kolporter
Construction of the Kolporter Group's distribution centre in Mościska, near Warsaw, is near completion and Kolporter Logistyka and Kolporter's Mazowsze branch will move there this month. GSE Polska is the general constructor of this PLN 12 mln project, whose construction began in Febuary this year.
The 22,000 sqm plot in Mosciska consists of 9,100 sqm of warehouse and 1,500 sqm of office space.
Container terminal slated for Sławków
The Polish wholesaler Centrala Zaopatrzenia Hutnictwa, which owns a 140 hectare plot of land in Sławków in the east of Poland, has plans to construct a container terminal on it, which will service cargo transported by rail from Asia to Europe. A tender has already been declared for the project and the closing date for bids is July 14th.
CZH will receive PLN 20 mln from the state agency for industrial development, to both prepare and implement the first stage of the project, which will take three years to complete and will cost EUR 32.6 mln in total. Other sources of funds for the development are expected to be the EBRD and the EIB.
Chemical distributor Cheman leases warehouse space
The chemical distributor Cheman, which is part of the Ciech Group, and which deals mainly with food additives, feed additives, cosmetic and household ingredients, fats and fat derivatives and pharmaceutical raw materials, among other products, has leased 3,000 sqm of refurbished and 500 sqm of new space at a warehouse on ul. Jagiellońska in Warsaw.
All the necessary adaptation, including construction of the separate building of 500 sqm, will be carried out by landlord the Metropol Group. Colliers International were leasing agents for the deal.
ProLogis signs build-to-suit agreement with Unilever
Developer ProLogis has signed an agreement with Unilever for a centralized distribution centre in ProLogis Park Piotrków, approximately 130 kilometres south of Warsaw. It will serve to distribute a range of the consumer goods' firms' culinary, beverage and personal care products. This is the first contract signed between the two companies outside the United States.
The 41,077 sqm facility will be constructed in two phases. The first of 21,077 sqm, will be complete in December this year and the second, of 20,000 sqm, will be operating by April 2004.
