Bank Pocztowy in Warsaw

Bank Pocztowy is to move its headquarters from Bydgoszcz to Warsaw, to the BTC office building on Aleje Niepodłeglości. The bank has leased 2,000 sqm in the building and Unikat Nieruchomosci Komercyjne brokered the transaction.
There is 8,000 sqm of leasable office space in BTC, which was developed by Towarzystwo Inwestycyjne BT, the owner of two other buildings in Warsaw - BTA and BTB.

JLL and The Platan Group come together

The Platan Group has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle as exclusive agents for its properties in Warsaw. The buildings are Dom Dochodowy, Centrum Millenium, Nautilus Nowogrodzka, Platan Park 1 and 2 and 2000 Plaza.

First in the Metropolitan

The Metropolitan office building in Pl. Pilsudskiego Warsaw, will soon be welcoming its first tenant. A lease agreement for 2,300 sqm was drafted with a consultancy firm, (who want to remain anonymous), on May 29th. Sources however have informed Eurobuild that the company in question is McKinsey & Company, who have till now been working from offices in the Holland Park building in Pl. Trzech Krzyży. Neither Mieczysław Godzisz of Hines nor Dorota Ćwiklińska, McKinsey & Company's Administrative Director, would comment on the issue. The contract is due to be signed in the first week of June.

Private medical firm moves to become main tenant

The private medical practitioner Medicover, which has had a presence in Poland since 1995, has moved to new headquarters in Warsaw and will occupy 2,325 sqm at the building on 18 ul Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920, where it previously just ran one of its clinics. The building, now almost completely leased by Medicover, will be called Medicover House from now on.

Corner stone laid at Centrum Jasna

The corner stone ceremony at Centrum Jasna, a class A office building in the centre of Warsaw, took place on May 7th. The building consists of a total of 7,850 sqm and will be available for lease from March 2004. The investor and developer of the project is Polish company Centrum Jasna, which is 100% owned by Warsaw's Archdiocese, the architects are S.A.M.I Architekci and the general constructor Z. Marciniak. Finance for the project comes from Bank Zachodni WBK and Cushman & Wakefield H&B are the exclusive financial advisors and leasing agents.

GE Capital Golub's plans

During the official opening of the 16,000 sqm International Business Centre office building in Warsaw, on May 20th, developer GE Capital Golub Europe announced its plans to start the second phase of the building and also develop an office building outside the city centre.
Beginning phase two depends mainly on how many signed pre-leases it manages to get. According to Graham Kilbane, from GE Capital Golub Real Estate, the company is negotiating a lease which will take up 40% of the office space in the building. Apart from that, the company is planning to develop another office building of around 15,000 sqm in Wisniowy Business Park in Warsaw. This project, as well as the second phase of IBC will be carried out in cooperation with US investor Heitman.
