Outshining the competitors

Eurobuild Awards
The fourth Eurobuild Awards gala is now fast approaching. Nineteen visions will be competing this year for the title of Architectural Design of the Year

The Eurobuild Awards is a celebration of the property sector. Every year we recognise the best in the field – both people and companies. Winners are chosen in several dozen categories, one of which is the Architectural Design of the Year. In our opinion this is an extremely important category. The buildings brought into being by developers remain with us for many years. They help to create the characters of our cities and even sometimes become icons of them. Beautiful, timeless buildings influence the way we feel about our surroundings and add something unique to the local atmosphere. But what makes the Eurobuild award stand out, when there are already a number of architectural awards in Poland? Well, it has a unique jury. This includes senior professionals from the real estate sector – brokers, fund and financial institution representatives, as well as investors and developers. Winning this category actually means being appreciated by the competition. This year the jury will be composed of around 200 experts. “They will nominate three out of the nineteen designs entered. We will find out who the ultimate winner is after a public vote that takes place during the gala itself. This means that almost 700 industry representatives will take part in deciding what the best architectural design is,” emphasises Katarzyna Matejuk, the Eurobuild Awards project director. This year, as in previous years, the candidates include commercial, residential and public utility buildings. Last year’s winner was the design of the National Stadium in Warsaw, the brainchild of the JSK Architekci architectural studio. Will the winner this time be a purely commercial building? Find out on December 5th at the fourth Eurobuild Awards gala.
