Three decades played out

Events
Once again, the year’s biggest sporting event for the local real estate sector is now behind us. The aim of our annual get-together on the courts and the fairways is to compete for titles and prizes, but there’s also the satisfaction of just taking part. And it also gives us the chance to get to know each other better and make new business contacts in a warm and friendly atmosphere

On June 2nd, as usual, the Annual Eurobuild Golf Tournament took place at the First Warsaw Golf & Country Club in Rajszew, which is now well-known to regular participants of the competition. The least experienced players could try their hand at the ‘Nearest to the Pin’ and the ‘Longest Drive’ mini-tournaments overseen by the Golf Academy, while more seasoned golfers took to the greens for half of the day. The contests provided plenty of excitement, but they were also an excellent opportunity for networking and forging new relationships. Interestingly, third place in one of the men’s events with 71 net strokes went to Ernest Kiruja, the CEO of Eurocee, the publisher of ‘Eurobuild’. But as such, he relinquished his place on the winner’s podium so someone else could be awarded the prize. The main sponsor of the tournament was Panattoni, while the prizes were sponsored by Loredo Real Estate Solutions, Komu Group, JLL, House of Tudor, Sylveco, Audi Warsaw Wilanów, Trigar and Pacama Coffee.

We also kept with tradition when it came to the tennis tournament. Again, this took place in the Warszawianka centre in Mokotów. You may remember some of the excellent players from previous years, but each time – to our delight – new players enter the tournament. They all exhibited a very high level of skill and each match was fiercely fought. For the first time, the summer tournament only comprised singles matches, since – due to the huge interest in the sport within our sector – the doubles competition is now held as a separate tournament, which takes place indoors during the winter. Once again, our main sponsor was APP-Projekt, which contributed the welcome packs for the competitors as well as the prizes for the winners. “The annual Eurobuild Tennis Tournament is a great opportunity for us to get together with friends, clients and partners. The sporting contest is combined with good fun and a relaxed atmosphere. Many people working on the real estate market take part in the event, so it’s possible not only to exchange balls over the net, but also opinions and business cards after the game. Every year, the tournament is organised to a high standard and the format suits us very well, which is why we once again took an active part in this event,” commented Jacek Korwin-Małaszyński, a member of the management board of APP-Projekt, who – like Michał Korwin-Małaszyński, another member of that firm’s management board – also participated in the competition. Notably, APP-Projekt’s guests, Michał Kosyrz and Michał Lipa, were among the finalists of the tournaments. The prizes and gifts for the participants were sponsored by Recman, Tailors Club, JLL and Sylveco.

Both sporting events are traditionally rounded off with an evening party, which this time took place at the Level 27 nightclub in Warsaw. And it was here that the first and final disruption of the day took place – the wind ruined our plans to have fun on the terrace, which has a beautiful panoramic view of the whole of Warsaw. However, the wind and the cold did not dampen the party atmosphere, which was warmed up by a performance by magician Czarek Czaruje, before the guests took to the dance floor.

We would like to thank all those who took part as well as the partners and sponsors of each event. We hope to see you all again soon in a spirit of healthy and friendly competition – next winter at the indoor doubles tournament and again in late spring on the courts and the greens, when the sector’s top players will aim for glory once again.

Extensive photo reports from both the golf and tennis tournament and the after-party can be viewed in the gallery on our website.
