Kicking things off

Events
An unusual event took place on May 30th in the Sky Box at the Legia Warszawa Stadium. ?IVG and ?Eurobuild CEE? invited the real estate agents who work with IVG for football-related fun and games

The event was hosted by IVG and led by Przemysław Babiarz,?a well-known sports journalist. The atmosphere of the evening was casual nearly 100 participants were given football accessories, such as t-shirts, scarves, caps or hats, whistles and vuvuzelas. Most of the guests were then able to take off their formal gear and transform themselves into authentic-looking supporters. The first item on the programme was a freestyle football show by current Polish street soccer champion Paweł Klempka and Paweł Kwit, a finalist in the Polish championships. After this exhibition, the guests at the event could themselves have a go at freestyle football and as it turned out quite a few of them had nifty ball-skills themselves. But it was not only men who were taking part. The female representatives of the property sector are also no strangers to sport and were able to match the men kick-for-kick.

After the sport it was time for a culinary experience. A cookery show, sprinkled with sporting anecdotes, was laid on for the guests by celebrity chef Robert Sowa. He was ably assisted in this by Maciej Zajdel, the managing director of IVG Poland.

However, it was the rest of the sports schedule that excited the guests the most. A few teams were pitted against each other in the Giant Foosball tournament table football played out on an extra-long table, with Przemysław Babiarz commentating on the action. Two teams squared up in the preliminaries: Nuvalu Polska and Kancelaria Brochocki. Nuvalu triumphed 9:2. In the next match, Savills against the White and Reds (a team made up of representatives of Colliers International and the 4Rent.pl agency), the final score was 7:2 for Savills.

The defeated teams then fought it out for third place, and it turned out to be one of the most exciting matches: Kancelaria Brochocki took the lead from the first minute, but the White and Reds were not giving up and were neck-and-neck at the final whistle, with the score standing at 4:4. A golden goal sealed the victory in extra time, scored by the White and Reds after only 30 seconds, at the same time securing third place.

And it was time for the final: Nuvalu against Savills. The first half ended 2:2. Emotions were running high... but it was Savills who took the lead in the second half. Despite a few fierce onslaughts on the Savills goal, Nuvalu finally lost 2:4.

A final friendly match was played between IVG and Savills to conclude the tournament. The champions finished unbeaten, thrashing the hosts 7:2, and received vouchers for matches to be played at the Legia Stadium.

The climax of the programme was a quiz about sport and IVG, in which nearly all the guests took part. Tomasz Gryzło of Polish Properties was the winner in this duel of wits, taking away the main prize: a ticket for the opening match of Euro 2012 between Poland and Greece, which was awarded by Maciej Zajdel.

The final event was a performance by Polish cheerleading group Cheerleaders Thunder K-12, accompanied by the dance section of the Student Sport Association of the University of Warsaw.
