Real estate and construction run Ekiden race
Human resourcesThe first contestant had to run a distance of 7.195 km, and the next two runners 10 km each while each of the three last runners had to complete a 5 km run, so that the total distance completed by each team amounted to 42.195 km. Entre.pl won the competition with a total time of 2.23.37.
“There was some rain, there was some fun, there was a run, it was worth it. Like in sports, like in business,” says Bartosz Prytuła, office space director, AIG/Lincoln Polska. “Accreo Ekiden 2015 is the second running event to be attended by the AIG/Lincoln Running Team this year. In March we participated in the 10th PZU Warsaw semi-marathon and came 70th out of 126 teams entered. We took the 75th position in Ekiden out of 770 teams, and take this result as a halfway point and a warm-up for the most important run for us this year, namely Warszawa Business Run, which is co-sponsored by The Park Warsaw and will take place on September 6th,” he adds.
“We have a strong and growing group of runners, cyclists, volleyball players and footballers at CBRE. We also support a rugby team, Rugby Warsaw Frogs, and we are a proud sponsor of Warsaw Business Run,” said Joanna Mroczek, a marketing and market research director, CBRE, after the run.
Anna Grzędzińska, a consultant in the financial consultancy department of JLL, added: “For JLL the participation in the Ekiden run is first of all great fun with a touch of sports rivalry. Covering a marathon distance in a relay run is a great source of satisfaction while integrating the team and teaching mutual support, regardless of the position or experience within the company. JLL has been running together for many years, it was our second start in Ekiden.”
Meanwhile Maciej Kajrukszto, the manager of the contract consultancy team in Arcadis Polska and team leader of Arcadis Running Team, commented: “At Arcadis we believe that the team spirit counts. By acting together we are able to run a marathon distance in a much better time than individually. We build our team through participation in sporting events, among other things, as this helps us face the most difficult tasks at work. It was already the fourth time Arcadis participated in the event. This year three Arcadis teams joined the rivalry.”
