Smog busting pavements

This is the first time in Europe that anti smog pavements, which absorb pollutants including nitrogen dioxide, are to be laid on such a large scale. The first such pavement was trialled at Rondo Daszyńskiego in Warsaw by Skanska working with the Municipal Roads Authority, and concrete producer Górażdże Cement. Due to the success of the trials the authorities have decided to use the same paving elsewhere in Warsaw. Plans are also being considered to use the same paving along 5,300 sqm oful.
