Garbe Industrial Real Estate has acquired a 47,000 sqm plot of land ready for construction in Thuringia, Germany, which can be used for both commercial and logistical purposes. Construction is expected to begin in Q2 of 2023.
Colliers International and the real estate consultancy Schütz acted as intermediaries in the purchase of the investment, which volume amounts to around 28 mln euros. The property is part of the Schmölln-Gößnitz industrial network site and is located near the A4 motorway, which is one of the most important east-west axes in Germany. The Schmölln motorway junction can be reached within 3.5 km without having to drive through the town. It is just under 20 km to the VW plant in Zwickau.
