Choice Hotels Group is looking for opportunities on Polish market

"We are looking at ten main cities in the country," says Leroy Bruno, the development director for Germany and Central Europe at Choice Hotels Group. "This could be one, two or three properties per city, or even more for the largest like Warsaw," he adds. "We are now in final talks with a local operator in Poland," reveals Leroy Bruno.
Choice Hotels will mostly be opening Comfort Hotels in this country. The brand, which has a more limited range of services, is generally located in city centres, where there are restaurants nearby. But higher quality hotels, of three to four stars with conference centres and located on the outskirts of cities, could also be opened in Poland. Upper-mid-scale hotels are also planned for the market, such as the Clarion hotel brand. "Currently we do not have a very specific product that we can say we are close to the signing of, but that would be also a part of the deal we are now talking about," he adds. This could be a hotel with 200 rooms or even 250 rooms, while a flagship hotel for the company could be opened in Warsaw or another major city.
