Ekkehard Preis

Ekkehard Preis will become the new Managing Director of Erste Digital, the IT subsidiary of Erste Group. Preis has more than 20 years of experience in banking, operations and IT. As Managing Director, he joins the existing team of Christoph Helm and Christoph Kohlbach.

Ekkehard Preis has been with Erste Group since 2008 and has experience in leading positions in various areas of the bank. Since 2018 he has been Head of the Banking Services division during which he played a key role in shaping the transformation of the ongoing digitalisation of banking processes. Previously, Preis was Head of Group Product & Business Management, where he was responsible for strategic support of the Large Corporates & Capital Markets division, product development, and central innovation project management for the division. Preis studied in Graz and St. Gallen and trained as a business economist.
