Fortum gives facelift to Wrocław office
POLAND Power plants operator Fortum Power & Heat has completed the fit-out work on its new 2,000 sqm headquarters in Wrocław’s Promenady Zita. The work took four months. The office space has been rearranged in line with the activity-based workplace concept provisions, which assume the creation of different types of space within the office. These include special silent zones for individual work and ad-hoc meeting places. The design is the work of Workplace Solutions. “The space can be easily rearranged and separated with pieces of furniture. The major change was the liquidation of separate office rooms, including the management board members’ office rooms, and the creation of sitting and standing workplaces. The office also comes with kitchen space designed specifically to supports networking and knowledge-sharing at the company,” says Bogusz Parzyszek, an operational lead in Workplace Solutions. Before moving into the new location, Fortum occupied some office space in its own 6,900 sqm building, which the company recently sold.
