Eurobuild Awards

Fifteen years of fame

The 15th Eurobuild Awards Gala brought 2025 to a positive close for the real estate market. All the major players in the industry were assembled once again in the biggest ballroom in Poland at the DoubleTree by Hilton Warsaw hotel to toast those who had made the greatest contributions to the market over the previous twelve months while making their own contributions to good causes – and, of course, enjoying the dinner and the show!

Eurobuild Awards

In the words of the winners...

The winners of the Eurobuild Awards 2025 give us their reactions on receiving these honours.

Eurobuild Awards

The confidence to show the way forward

No one who has been acquainted with the Polish residential market over the last 30 years could deny that the latest recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award fully deserves this honour. Kazimierz Kirejczyk, now senior strategy advisor for the housing sector at JLL, was there at the very beginnings of the market, since when his career has been dedicated to providing developers and financial institutions with the knowledge that was so necessary for both the build-to-own and PRS segments to flourish

Small talk

Not just opening doors

Maciej Grabowski, the CEO and founder of Blue Bolt, tells us how his company's building access platform is what property managers need - not just for opening doors, but for intergrating and streamling access processes to encourage employees back to their offices in line with the 15-minute city concept

Small talk

Focusing our energy

Power purchase agreements (PPAs) may just be the solution for energy cost optimisation and hitting decarbonisation targets in times of economic and geo-political uncertainty, according to Anna Nienaltowska, the Poland head of sales Poland of Westbridge Advisory

Taxation

Of death and taxes

Nobody likes the taxman. Certainly not George Harrison, who sang in 1966: “Should five percent appear too small, be thankful I don’t take it all.” But is this a truly deserved bad wrap, and how sensible is the tax regime here in Poland? Does the taxman set clear expectations on what we have to pay, or is he more capricious?

Technology

A warehouse that thinks

In November, a massive logistics project opened its doors for the first time in Wilcza Góra, about 20km south of Warsaw city centre. It is impressive, but not only due to its scale. The distribution centre built for the Auchan retail network is equipped with an extensive range of technological systems that may well become a benchmark for contemporary warehouse design

Making AI agents work (the right way) for you

Any failure to engage with the potential of AI tools can have catastrophic consequences for a company’s efficiency and competitiveness – just as seriously as rushed, forced implementations. Artificial intelligence now sits at the very top of investment priorities, yet a huge proportion of such projects still fail

Case study

Revitalisation that works

The story of Soho by Yareal is an example of an investment that goes beyond the classic format for a residential project. It is a process spread out over many years, in which the revitalisation of a post-industrial site became the impetus for the creation of an open, multifunctional quarter – with housing, offices, services and extensive public space

Winter doesn’t read ESG reports

The weather has clearly decided to pull our leg. And it has done so with an icy flourish. Winter is back. Uninvited. Unannounced. And without so much as a glance at the data for the climate transition
