Hennes & Mauritz expand

The Swedish clothing chain are going to open another outlet in Warsaw. The 1,500 sqm shop, which will be launched in the Promenada retail centre in mid-October, will offer collections for men, women and children. A lease agreement has been signed for the next ten years. The shop in Promenada will be the fourth H&M outlet in the capital together with the current shop in Wola Park and the shops which will be open in the Reduta and Sawa shopping centres.
A 1,600 sqm H&M outlet will also open in the Stary Browar retail and leisure centre in Poznań. Cushman & Wakefield H&B negotiated the lease.

Apsys to construct EUR 200 mln centre in Łódź

The French investor Apsys is to construct a retail and cultural centre which will be called Manufaktura for EUR 200 mln in Łódź. The centre, which will consist of a museum of modern art, the first museum of science and engineering for children in Poland, an international fashion centre, a multiplex cinema, restaurants and a shopping gallery, will be constructed on a twenty seven hectare plot of land. The project is scheduled for completion in 2005.

ECE invests in Poznań

The German developer ECE is to reconstruct the central bus station in Poznań, after which they will add a retail section to the building. This latter project, entitled Galeria Poznańska, will consist of 42,000 sqm and 150 shops including a supermarket. There will be parking space for over 1,000 cars.
ECE already owns two commercial centres in Poland: Galeria Dominikańska in Wrocław and Galeria Łódźka in Łódź.

New in Galaxy

Galaxy, a 42,000 sqm retail and leisure centre in Szczecin, has gained new tenants. Contracts have been signed with Mango, Scotch and Soda, Monnari, Marc Picard, Angel Eyes, Ravel and the sports shop, Sportil. A 14-alley ten pin bowling centre equipped by Funk International is currently being installed adjacent to a billiard room, disco, bar and cafe. The total space of the complex will amount to 2,400 sqm.
Echo Investment, developers of Centrum Galaxy, are planning a launch any time now.
