Tebodin to acquire SAP-Projekt shares

Tebodin Consultants and Engineers, an operating company of Royal BAM Group, is to acquire 51 per cent of the shares in the Polish engineering consultant SAP-Projekt on January 1st 2003 and will have the option of increasing its stock further on the same date.
The Royal BAM Group claims that this merger will create the largest consultancy and engineering firm in Poland and that turnover in 2003 will be approximately EUR 15 mln.

Money for airport development

The European Investment Bank has granted a EURO 200 mln loan for the development of Warsaw's Okęcie Airport, which would cover the cost of constructing a new terminal.
The main contractor of the scheme, the Budimex-Ferrovial-Estudio Lamela consortium has signed a USD 198.85 mln contract with the investor, Przedsiebiorstwo Panstwowe Porty Lotnicze - PPL. Construction work is due to start this year.

7 per cent VAT until the end of 2007

As a result of negotiations between the Polish government and the EU, the 7 per cent VAT tax on new flats and their construction services, renovation and maintenance, is to be kept at this rate until the end of 2007.
