Warsaw Centrum Borough sells shares in Atrium Tower company
Dutch registered Anatol Invest is to take over Warsaw Centrum Borough's
stake in the Atrium Tower company, manager of the Atrium Tower office building, for PLN
17.3 mln. This will make Anatol Invest, which already holds 80 % of the shares, sole owner
of the company.
The Borough obtained 20 % of shares in the management company in return for a 2,900 sqm
site. The nominal value of the shares was PLN 5.1 mln. After negotiations with the French
company CDC IXIS, who represent Anatol Invest, the Borough obtained PLN 17.3 mln.
The Atrium Tower, part of the Atrium Business Centre was constructed by Skanska in 1994.
Brochocki lease office space
Polish real estate agency Brochocki announced it has participated in several office space transactions in the last few months. Eurofinance Accounting, a finance and accounting advisory firm, leased 430 sqm in the Aquarius office building at ul. Połczyńska. The Austrian architectural company Svoboda Polska, which amongst others designed Agora S.A.'s office building, leased 280 sqm in a building at ul. Burakowska. Nationwide, a British life insurance company, leased 160 sqm in a tenement house on ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście.
Merlini - offices and residential space in one
Merlini, a small, 2,300 sqm, six floor office building, is under
construction in the Mokotów district of Warsaw. The investor is Rezydencja Merliniego,
part of the Eco group. Construction is scheduled for completion in October. The building
meets class B plus standards with amenities including suspended ceilings, air
conditioning, structural cabling, 24 hour security and an underground car park for 36
cars. The facade will be made mostly of sandstone, and part of the ground floor will have
aluminum panels. The exclusive agent is Knight Frank.
Rezydencja Merliniego, a residential apartment building adjacent to the office building,
is also under construction. The scheme will comprise 35 flats with between 51 to over 200
sqm. Price of 1 sqm starts from USD 1,200.
BIG Bank Gdański to move?
Negotiations concerning BIG Bank Gdański S.A.'s move to the Reform Plaza office building
in central Warsaw are in progress. The Bank granted a loan to the new owners of the office
building for the remaining work on the Reform Center, located by Al. Jerozolimskie
opposite the Reduta shopping centre, to be finished, as well as modernisation works on
Reform Plaza.
New PKO BP premises in Gdańsk
Renovation work on a building located at ul. Grunwaldzka in Gdańsk
(northern Poland) is in progress. On completion, which is scheduled for the first quarter
of next year, the building will house a branch of PKO BP bank. Apart from space used by
the bank, 2 storeys will be offered for lease. The building will offer a total of c. 5,000
sqm once renovation work is finished.
Architects Remigiusz Grochal, Izabella Zawadzka and Bogumił Oświecimski from Forum in
Gdańsk designed the project. The facade of the building is to be made of semi-structural
glass. The general contractor is a consortium made up of Polnord SA and Kokoszki.
The 6 storey building previously belonged to the city containing flats and office space.
The building was also home to a workers' hotel over ten years ago.
