Fitter, happier… and more productive

The annual sports competitions organised by Eurobuild Conferences are now behind us. In May, the real estate sector got together once again to battle it out for titles, prizes or just personal pride, while at the same time getting to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere, have fun and forge new business links

Property people just can’t get enough of the competitive buzz! There were thrills and trophies, fine weather, wonderful scenery, new friendships and some networking – all in one package. And we were all able to have a great time in a sporty atmosphere, while taking care of the health and fitness of… the sector itself.

As usual, the 23rd Annual Eurobuild CEE Golf Tournament was played out in the distinguished grounds of the First Warsaw Golf club in Rajszew on the city’s northern outskirts. In the main tournament, the more experienced golfers took to the fairways, while newcomers to the discipline could try their hand at the beginners’ contests held by the Golf Academy. The weather and the atmosphere were both excellent, while the sport provided plenty of excitement. The Golf Academy was hugely popular this year. At previous golf tournaments, this was just an added attraction for accompanying guests, but this year it had become a major event of its own with 54 participants!

The 19th Annual Eurobuild CEE Tennis Tournament was played out, as usual, on the Warszawianka courts in Warsaw’s Mokotów district. Yet again, many excellent regular players entered the contest – and we are delighted that new competitors are also being added to their ranks each year. The performance levels of all the players were very high and the contest itself was intensely fought. One thing we can be certain of is the fitness and sharpness of those in our line of work.

This year we also inaugurated a new annual event for the real estate sector – the Eurobuild CEE Running Tournament! Those taking part raced across the green surroundings of the First Warsaw Golf course in Rajszew over two distances: they could choose routes of either 5 km or 10 km. And it was possible to enter the competition as an individual or in a team of three. The turnout exceeded all our expectations – and it soon became very obvious to us that this has to be a regular fixture! And so, we are adding the race to the calendar of our annual events.

We rounded off all the sporting fun with the afterparty at the perennially popular Boathouse restaurant, which this year had a black-and-white dress theme. The weather this time did not, as they say, rain on our parade, and we were able to enjoy the evening in the beautiful grounds of the restaurant on the Vistula riverside until late into the night.

Huge congratulations to the winners and also to everyone who took part! It was all wonderful fun in a healthy competitive spirit. We simply can’t wait for our future sporting events!
