Spring in their steps
The movers and shakers of the real estate world are now in good spirits. Is this only due to the weather? ‘Eurobuild CEE’ got together with them to find out why
They haven’t started packing their briefcases just yet, but the talks are already ongoing. With MIPIM coming up, the big players on the Polish real estate market needed a place to discuss a few things and to quickly check out the condition of their competitors. We, as usual, were on hand to help them out in this regard. The ‘Eurobuild CEE’ pre-MIPIM cocktail party, held at the fashionable 99 restaurant in the busy heart of the Polish capital, brought together almost 200 professionals, eager to talk and enjoy the quality of the food and drinks on offer. That evening, Warsaw – which had as many as four real estate-related events scattered across the city – definitely had something of that Cannes atmosphere about it that we all like so much (even though we tend to complain sometimes about the overload of parties). ‘Eurobuild CEE’, in cooperation with Poleczki Business Park, which is now being developed in Warsaw by UBM Realitaetenetwicklung and CA Immo, and law firm Trusiewicz/Siwko, was happy to host a cocktail party for the people that matter in the business. The mood was definitely upbeat, and not only because of the above-mentioned refreshments. “I am seeing some positive signs,” was a common response to the question: “How are you doing?” Next came some eagerly awaited good news from the headquarters of the banks. “Finally, the banks are starting to look at projects more favourably, and now there are even some promising negotiations taking place,” was the kind of thing that could also often be heard that evening. Hopefully, the good mood of developers, leasing agents, investors and bankers won’t have worn off by the time they set off for the French Riviera. ‘Eurobuild CEE’ will be there too, as usual ready for some serious discussions and good parties. Come see us at our stand. You are most cordially invited! (MP)
