Office & mixed-use developmentdeputy editor
Centrum Południe is situated on ul. Powstańcow Śłąskich, just south of the city’s historic centre. The two buildings in the first stage, which together comprise 27,600 sqm of sustainable office, retail and service space, have been issued with an occupancy permit, the enabling the first tenants to soon start moving into their new premises. These will include AmRest, Sennder, CH Robinson, Synergy Codes, Timocom and Coventry University.
Centrum Południe is our largest investment in Wrocław with a target area of 85,000 sqm throughout five buildings. The first stage, consisting of two buildings, was completed on time despite difficulties related to Covid-19. In Centrum Południe, we have created innovative and attractive space, not only office and retail space, but also the area around the building, which fully meets the needs of our tenants. This has ensured much interest in our investment, both on the part of tenants and investment funds.
Marek Stasieńko, the regional leasing director of Skanska’s office unit in Poland
Centrum Południe is the first project in Wrocław to feature the use of green concrete, with app. 1,380 sqm of anti-smog pavement having been laid, helping to neutralise car pollution. It is also the first office building in the city to receive a Well certificate. Other sustainability features of the complex include systems to reduce water consumption by more than a half and energy consumption by a third.
At Skanska, we attach great importance to environmental protection. This is why we have committed ourselves to reducing our carbon footprint by 50 pct over the next ten years. The use of green concrete and other environmentally friendly solutions is in line with these goals. In Centrum Południe there will also be systems enabling the reuse of grey and rainwater.
Anna Życińska-Wójcik, the project director of Skanska’s office unit in Poland
The complex will also be equipped with the Connected by Skanska mobile access system, thanks to which the building can be entered using just a smartphone instead of traditional access cards, while the virtual reception desk will allow invited guests to enter without having to sign in at the main reception desk.
