RSSEU to invest EUR 100 mln in Slovenian railways
SLOVENIA The EU is to invest EUR 101 mln out of its Cohesion Fund to upgrade the railtrack between Maribor and Šentilj, close to the border with Austria in the direction of Graz.

ROMANIA The European Commission has approved, under EU State aid rules, Romania's plans to grant EUR 27.4 mln in investment aid to the Port of Galați, the largest sea-river port in the country.

Tunnel drilling on Zakopianka
POLAND Work on the construction of the tunnel of the future ‘Zakopianka’ i.e. the S7 Lubień – Rabka Zdrój route has been resumed. The tunnelling work will be executed around the clock, including Saturdays and Sundays, while large diameter piles at the southern portal of the tunnel will be performed for twelve hours a day.
