German developer Strabag Real Estate (SRE) has laid the cornerstone for the Astoria Premium Offices building at ul. Przeskok 2 in the centre of Warsaw.
The work on the construction of the project started at the end of 2013. Seven levels, including a car park with 100 spaces on two underground levels, have already been completed. The entire building is scheduled to open in H1 2016. “With Astoria we have taken our first step into the Polish market and established a local project team. [...] In fact, we are sure that Poland will become one of our core markets in the future,” said Thomas Hohwieler, SRE’s managing director. The ten-storey building offers 16,800 sqm of office space and 1,400 sqm of retail, which can be accessed via two prominent entrance halls. Investment costs are to come to EUR 75 mln. Strabag is the general contractor of the project.
