The first decade of Rockwool
Rockwool, a company specializing in the production of modern, mineral wool
insulation materials, are celebrating the tenth anniversary of activity on the
Polish market.
Rockwool's life in Poland began in 1993 with the privatisation of a factory in
Cigacice and the establishment of Rockwool Polska. Three years later, another
plant opened in Malkinia. Since the beginning of its operations in Poland the
company has invested around PLN 350 mln, and are not calling it a day yet.
Mostostal Puławy contract
Mostostal Puławy S.A. controlled by Mostostal Warszawa, which has 99.76 per
cent stake in the company, has signed a contract with Alstrom Power Sweden AB.
The agreement envisages supplying steel construction and installing the
catalyzer and thermal insulation at an energy plant in Kalunborg in Denmark. The
contract, the value of which amounts to EUR 3.66 mln, will be carried out from
