Question mark over Manufaktura

The future of Manufaktura, a Łódź retail centre planned to contain a hypermarket, 250 shops and a Multikino multiplex, which is being developed by Apsys, has become uncertain and the newly-elected local authorities in the city are considering preventing the investment from going ahead.
Construction was first supposed to begin in September 2002, when it was put off until December and now local retailers and conservationists are lobbying for Manufaktura's construction permit to be denied.

Sports' complex in Warsaw

Architectural plans have been drawn up for a sports' complex in ul. Łazienkowska in Warsaw. Jerzy Stron, coordinator of the National Stadium, has stated that the project will consist of a modern stadium for around 30,000 people and a hotel and conference complex.
The total cost of construction is estimated as EUR 2,533 per seat, should the stadium include a roof, but a less sophisticated version will bring this down to EUR 1,953.
