Ten distinctions in Narutowicza competition

POLAND The competition for the design of the spatial development concept for pl. Narutowicza in Warsaw has ended with ten out of the 96 competition entries receiving distinctions

However, a first prize was not awarded. The third prize went to Tomasz Birezowski and his team, while the second prize went to the Dawos architectural studio. The lowest place on the podium was awarded for the shaping of the square referencing the semi-circular form that was marked out in the 1920s. Second place was awarded for the exposure of the semi-circular outline of the square as visible on its archival plans and for a suggested development which, thanks to its scale and transparent nature, retains the existing form of the square.

Romania’s land market closed 2025 with an estimated transaction volume broadly in line with 2024 levels, when deals totalled nearly EUR 450 mln, according to data from Colliers. The market was shaped by political uncertainty and fiscal adjustments in the first part of the year. However, sentiment improved visibly after the elections, with the final months of 2025 delivering some of the strongest transactional results seen in recent years.
