Aedas splits business in two

Meanwhile, the offices in China, South-East Asia, the Middle East and the US will remain under the Aedas brand. The demerger will allow both companies to grow the businesses in different directions, Aedas informed. Yet its intention is that both groups will work together on projects in the future. Aedas, established in 2002 by the British practice AHR (formerly Abbey Holford Rowe) and the Hong-Kong-based company LPT, has grown from 550 employees in 2002 to 1,800 staff in 2008. After the restructuration, AHR will operate through offices in London, Manchester, Huddersfield, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Shrewsbury and Glasgow, along with offices in Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan and its associate office in Pakistan. The company also plans on opening an office in Dubai later this year.
