Futuwawa winners announced

The jury decided to award three entries in the Design for the Warsaw of the Future category as well as two entries in the Design for Warsaw of the Future: Seasons category. Four entries received honourable mentions. The most popular design this year was the ‘Bicycle Footbridge on Poniatowski Bridge’ by Kama Wybieralska and Mikołaj Molenda. Their work was also the winner in the internet voting. Two more entries were recognised by the jury in the same category: Phantom Pain of the East Wall by Kai Abdank and Wojciech Kacperski as well as Tarchomin: Landscapes among Architecture by Dorota Ślązakowska. Two designs jointly won the Design for Warsaw of the Future: Seasons category: Urban Garden by Kama Wybieralska and Wasteland Biennale by Martyna Baran. Apart from the winning designs, there were also honourable mentions for entries designed to solve social problems: Assistance Centre for the Homeless by Katarzyna Świderska and the Architecture and the Limits of Freedom – the Prison of the 21st Century by Dorota Wilczyńska. Metram, a complete city transport map by Mariusz Różycki as well as a light-hearted proposal for ski-lifts on the Pasaż Wiecha arcade called Wyciąg_Anię by Tomasz Rychlewski, were also recognised.
