New face for Baltic resort

LITHUANIA A technical and architectural plan has been drawn up to improve the centre of Nida, one of the districts of Neringa on the Curonian Spit, involving the creation of a central square for the town.
The design convers a site between af local government building, the Agila cultural centre and the Gilija shopping centre. There will be new public areas and vegetation, while passageways are to be modernised. 'Islands’ with benches are also to be created within the greenery. A total of 1.08 ha is to be developed. The ordering party of the design is Neringa town council, while the design is the work of Kaunas-based design and construction company Simper in cooperation with a team of archite
