POLAND Structure Capital Fund launches the revitalization of tenement houses at ul. Podgórna 7 and 9 in the Old Town of Poznań.
The historic buildings have been deteriorating since the war. Poznań Old Town suffered greatly due to the bombing in 1945. The city’s hospital was 80 pct destroyed, including the building of 1910 at ul. Podgórna 7, which is part of it. The tenement house was rebuilt after the war mainly with materials from demolished buildings, without the reconstruction of corner windows, balconies or rustication of the walls.
