Construction sector concerned about contracts
POLAND The onset of Covid-19 and the worsening labour shortages due to the closure of the border with Ukraine could have a devastating effect on the Polish construction sector and the ability to carry out contracts on time, according to the Polish Association of Construction Employers [PZPB] and the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Roads [OIGD].

Napollo reaches out to tenants
POLAND Napollo, the owner and manager of the N Park retail park brand has reduced the rents of its tenants, whose stores have been shut since March 14th, by 10 pct. The company has also offered a two-week rent holiday in April.

POLAND According to figures from the Retail Institute from March 2nd to March 8th, 2020, shopping centre footfall fell by 5.6 pct compared to 2019.
NEPI Rockcastle donates to the Red Cross
CEE REGION NEPI Rockcastle has donated EUR 150,000 to the Red Cross to support efforts to prevent the spread of the covid-19 epidemic. The money is to be used to purchase disinfectants and equipment.

CPI to turn hotels into hospitals
CZECH REPUBLIC In response to the covid-19 outbreak, CPIPG has offered the government of the Czech Republic the use of the its hotels in Prague, Ostrava, Olomouc, Liberec, Ústí nad Labem, České Budějovice, Františkovy Lázně, Hradec Králové and Brno to increase the country’s hospital capacity by more than 5,000 beds.
