At the Eurobuild Awards Gala 2016, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre Warsaw on December 6th, those present chose the winners in the three categories of the public vote: the Real Estate Personality of the Year, the Outstanding Non-Business Achievement of the Year and the Office Tenant of the Year.

For the Real Estate Personality of the Year Award in Poland, the guests of the gala (with over 850 people from the real estate market present) chose ... Hanna Zdanowska, the mayor of the city of Łódź

For the second category, the Outstanding Non-Business Achievement of the Year, the guests decided that the prize went to ... JLL for the 7th Charity Real Estate Beach Volleyball Tournament

The guests also handed the award for the Office Tenant of the Year to ... Deloitte

Romania FDI stock increase in construction and real estate

According to data from the National Bank of Romania analyzed by the Cushman & Wakefield Echinox, the real estate and construction sector became the second largest recipient of foreign capital in Romania, after industry. The sector attracted approx. EUR 2.2 bln of foreign direct investments in 2023, as the share of this economic activity in the overall FDI stock stood at 17.5 pct at the end of 2023.

With the gradual lifting of the restrictions and the acceleration of the vaccination programme, we have every confidence that this will be the final time we have to reschedule the ceremony, and so the winners can finally be announced at this most important event for the CEE real estate market.
