A thousand new DHL Parcel pick-up points

E-commerce
POLAND DHL Parcel will this year have opened 1,000 new locations for despatching and collecting courier parcels.

It has also announced that it will be expanding its network by this number each year. DHL Parcel has more than 7,000 locations in Poland. These are located in such stores as Inmedio, Żabka, Freshmarket, Kaufland, 1-Minute, Relay, Shell petrol stations and in individual shops. The operator’s customers can also use 150 automatic machines in Biedronka supermarkets. When choosing a delivery point, customers can decide when to receive the package within seven days. According to DHL Parcel, one advantage of partner points is their high degree of flexibility regarding the collection time and security.

“This year we have seen a six-fold increase in the number of shipments received at DHL Parcel points compared to 2018. We are simultaneously monitoring the level of consumer satisfaction on an ongoing basis and we know that it is high, which is why we are expanding our network as an alternative to home delivery,” explains Maciej Dudek, the manager of the company’s partner chain department.

In his opinion, the growing number of users of such services confirms that this is a good direction for the further development of courier firms as well as operators of such points.

“The decision to expand the portfolio of customer services to courier services was made four years ago and it has worked in our Inmedio, Relay and 1-Minute stores. It has turned out that in an era of growing online shopping, there is a substantial demand for new collection and despatch locations that are convenient for customers. Over the first eight months of this year, the number of parcels received in our stores increased more than threefold while the number of parcels sent increased by 130 pct,” adds Dorota Karnkowska, the director of promotion and communication of Lagardere Travel Retail Polska, the owner of these brands.
