POLAND The Polish Chamber of Digital Commerce (e-Izba) has set up the Retailers Group e-Chamber to support companies who operate in e-commerce and omnichannel sales or are planning to start a business in this sector.
Advice for such companies will be provided by Polish and international experts. Dorota Bachman, a member of e-Izba and the CEO of Polish online bookseller Ravelo, has been appointed chair of the new group. “As an entity than brings together more than 200 e-commerce businesses, we have decided to launch a new group that supports retailers. Although over 40,000 sqm of new and modernised offices entered the market in the first quarter, according to JLL this was only a short-term boost. The Romanian market recorded a total transaction volume of around EUR 152 mln in the first quarter of 2026, amid investor caution and selective activity, according to a report by Fortim Trusted Advisors, a member of the BNP Paribas Real Estate alliance. GTC has signed a EUR 148.8 mln loan agreement with Berlin Hyp to refinance the bulk of its German residential portfolio and support further capital expenditure in selected assets. The new facility matures in 2031 and replaces the existing loan previously provided by another financing institution, extending the debt maturity profile of the Group and further strengthening its long-term financing structure.
