Chamber for e-commerce

E-commerce
POLAND The Polish Chamber of Digital Commerce (e-Izba) has set up the Retailers Group e-Chamber to support companies who operate in e-commerce and omnichannel sales or are planning to start a business in this sector.

Advice for such companies will be provided by Polish and international experts. Dorota Bachman, a member of e-Izba and the CEO of Polish online bookseller Ravelo, has been appointed chair of the new group.

“As an entity than brings together more than 200 e-commerce businesses, we have decided to launch a new group that supports retailers. The associated companies include firms specialising in logistics, platform solutions, payments, digital marketing and many others. We are convinced that the activities of the new group will be of great interest to retailers who are accelerating their e-commerce projects,” declared Dorota Bachman.

The Polish e-commerce market has been undergoing dramatic growth for several years and having an e-commerce channel is now a pre-requisite for a brand to be able to compete effectively on the market.

“The exchange of knowledge and information is crucial for the e-commerce sector in order to effectively make decisions about directions of change,” added Wojciech Zięba, the e-commerce and omnichannel director of sports goods retailer Decathlon.

The inaugural meeting of the group took place on January 23rd.
