Piotr Korek appointed president of P.A. Nova

POLAND Piotr Korek, a former vice-president of Tesco Polska, has now taken the helm of listed-company P.A. Nova.

He takes over from Ewa Bobkowska, who will remain a member of management board. Piotr Korek is a former vice-president of Tesco Polska and for the past 15 years has been responsible for the expansion, development and management of buildings owned by the grocery chain, both in Poland and the CEE. “I'm convinced that my experience of both German and British companies will help to increase P.A. Nova’s activities and assure the company’s stable and long-term development. My objective is also to increase the revenues and earnings and to systematise the business,” said Piotr Korek.

Develia has bought land at ul. Orląt Lwowskich in Wrocław. The developer plans to develop a dormitory with around 600 rooms and two service units on it. Develia acquired the property from the Puro Hotels financial group for PLN 40.6 mln.

Towards the end of last year, Estonian-based investment company Summus Capital expanded out of the Baltics to make its first acquisitions in Poland: the React office building Łódź (15,000 sqm – sold for EUR 32.5 mln) and the Lakeside office complex in Warsaw (23,834 sqm, EUR 61.9 mln). Germany Silverton lets office space in Meerbusch
